Marilyn Jones

Tapping her exceptional breadth of experience, she brings a unique multi-disciplinary perspective to every marketing challenge. She is widely recognized for consistently delivering expert product in both the strategic and tactical phases of marketing communications.

Marilyn is the former Managing Director for Content Development for the Washington, DC office of Circle.com, a full service digital marketing agency that designs and executes ROI-driven customer relationship management initiatives for Global 2000 firms. She led content development-related activity for a broad range of digital engagements, including Web site development, site redesign, application development, and customer relationship management (CRM). She provided thought leadership for the practice. In addition to the development of high-level brand positioning and messaging strategies (addressing globalization, localization and personalization issues), Marilyn supervised the delivery of a comprehensive suite of research and editorial services. Earlier in her tenure at Circle.com, she also served as Creative Director, Associate Creative Director, and Senior Writer.

Marilyn began her career in communications as a marketing representative for Montana-based Western Sun Broadcasting, Inc. On the West Coast, she undertook an extraordinarily successful three-year engagement as Promotions Director for KGON-FM in Portland, Oregon. During her tenure the station became the highest-rated radio station of its type in the county‹and Marilyn developed an enduring love of radio.

She was the founder and senior executive of Jones Media, Inc., a full-service advertising agency specializing in marketing for mid-size retail clients and professional associations. (We noted with interest that each year in business Jones Media recognized 25%+ increases in billings. And the company maintained uninterrupted client relationships in each of its core business categories for over 12 years - an extraordinary feat in a notoriously fickle industry!)

Marilyn has been responsible for online and offline creative execution for large-scale, national client engagements. She has managed comprehensive content development on major Web-based project for clients including Mobil Corporation, SAP, Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications, IBM, and The Kogod School of Business at American University.
