Eric Waskowicz
Senior Developer, Database Specialist
eric@lighthousestrategicgroup.com

For nearly ten years, Eric worked as a consultant, developing complete database systems for small and medium sized clients using Borlandıs Paradox program. He received commendations for his work supporting the FCC during the original spectrum auctions; and for a warehouse inventory system he developed for the AID security office.

In 1996 Eric arrived at Snyder Communications to enhance an existing sales commission program for one of their clients: MCI. Microsoft was beginning to publicly realize the strategic importance of the Internet, but Snyder had not yet implemented an internal e-mail system. Eric began developing object and class-oriented systems in Visual Basic and Delphi, supporting the commissioning process for field sales as well as the Snyder call center. In 1998, Snyder changed direction and began to implement new call center applications as browser based applications, using Active Server Pages, VB components, VBscript and Javascript. He helped to develop a major call center application for the Health Care Finance Administration, which acted as a knowledge manager for contracted HCFA representatives. As the much-hyped Y2K crisis loomed, Eric managed a team of programmers and DBAs responsible for application enhancements, as well as preventing widely predicted disaster.

In the shadow of Y2K, Snyder also reorganized all of its Internet-related divisions into a single new entity known as Circle.com. Eric joined this new entity as a technical project manager/technical lead, with responsibility for specifying technical solutions and leading himself and/or others in executing the technical side of overall website implementations and now works with many of his former Circle.com team members as part of Lighthouse.

In the fall of 2000, Eric ran the Chicago Marathon in 3:51, and vows that someday he will complete a marathon without walking. Meanwhile, he is accumulating Microsoft certifications in System Architectures and Visual Basic.
